My wife and I are worried by the many changes in doctors in the Surgery. It was the last straw when Dr Mahkragod left after a relatively short period of duty at the Surgery (she was very good) which is now down to two GPs and we are told that we are no longer allocated to a named GP. The procedure where we had a named GP i.e. a family doctor, seems to have been terminated. We had a letter from Dr Terrell dated 27.06.14 saying that all patients over 75 must have a named GP and it was to be her but we have never seen her! Perhaps we should ask to see her on our next visit. The practice nurses are very helpful and the receptionists do a difficult job well. David and Mary Boyt NHS No 468 519 8948 01.06.15

Response from Greensand Health Centre

Thank you for taking the time to provide us with feedback following your recent visit. Unfortunately Dr Mankragod has left the surgery at very short notice due to personal reasons. We apologise for the disruption and upset that this has caused you. We have three GP's at the practice and we are currently advertising for a fourth doctor, but as you may be aware from the press that this is currently a very difficult task. In the meantime we have recruited two full time GP pharmacists who will be starting on 3rd August and we hope this will ease GP appointments and enable easier access to your named GP. All patients over the age of 75 have a named GP, this is a contractual requirement and I will ensure that all of our staff are aware of this to avoid any doubt going forward. If you would like an appointment with Dr Terrell we will always try and accommodate your request and I so I would recommend that you do always ask. Thank you again for your feedback, if I can be of any further help, please do not hesitate to call me at the surgery. Kind regards Juliette Norton Practice Manager

Dr Nicola Pullman was brilliant yesterday - thank you. With ref to the box below I am under investigation for possible COPD I have seen 2 other doctors recently but don't recall their names who were also excellent - very professional and understanding. I am very pleased I changed to this surgery

A very friendly and welcoming attitude from all staff, both clerical & medical. The medical staff always have the patience to explain your options and treatment, and never hurry you. It sometimes takes some time to get repeat prescriptions through to Lloyds the Chemists, possibly due to both the surgery and chemists having a heavy workload!
